BIFMA is pleased to announce that Anne McManus, Senior Sustainability Engineer at Haworth, has been selected for the position of Vice Chairperson of BIFMA’s e3/LEVEL Subcommittee within the association’s Sustainability Committee.
Anne is a sustainability professional with an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and more than 20 years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance, corporate responsibility, and sustainable product design strategic work. As leader of Haworth’s efforts around sustainable product design and product transparency, she spearheads the company’s green chemistry initiatives.
BIFMA has historically partnered with a broad range of stakeholders and organizations in the development of the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard and the LEVEL Certification Program that assures conformance of products to that standard. Anne’s work with groups and programs such as the HPD Collaborative, USGBC, WELL, and Living Building Challenge will help advance BIFMA’s goal of keeping LEVEL the leading program for furniture that addresses the environmental and social impacts of a product.
