BIFMA Chemicals Summit Review

The BIFMA Chemicals Summit was held on April 21-22, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois at the Merchandise Mart.  It set forth the future direction for chemical responsibility in the furniture industry by: 

  • Examining what has happened over the last two years since our first summit such as the USGBC harmonization initiative, the release of LEED v4, the BIFMA Material IQ (MiQ) Pilot, and other initiatives. 
  • Communicating BIFMA's goal to align the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard and level® Certification Program with the current  practices of identification, assessment and reporting of chemicals.

  • Shaping the future for our industry with respect to green chemistry leadership.
