BIFMA Announces New Board of Directors

Grand Rapids, MI – BIFMA International elected several new Directors and Officers to its Board of Directors. Carol Keogh, President and CEO of ESI Ergonomic Solutions, and Don Van Winkle, President of the Kimball Office Furniture Group (a unit of Kimball International), each were elected to three-year terms beginning June 2011.
Carol Keogh has served as President and CEO at ESI Ergonomic Solutions since 1999. Located in Mesa, Arizona, ESI Ergonomic Solutions has been providing ergonomic work tools since 1988. ESI is a Nationally Certified, Woman-Owned Business with a network of 29 independent rep groups throughout the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Middle East, as well as distribution through OEM channels.
Donald W. "Don” Van Winkle has been President of Kimball Office Furniture Group since February of 2010. He also holds the title of Vice President for the parent Kimball International. In his role, Van Winkle oversees the organization that manufactures and markets both Kimball Office and National Office Furniture. Mr. Van Winkle joined Kimball International in January 1991 and has assumed successively more responsible roles in accounting, finance and administration.
Chuck Saylor, founder and CEO of izzy+, was elected Vice President/President-Elect and is expected to assume the position of BIFMA President next year. Franco Bianchi, President and CEO of Haw orth, was elected Treasurer to fill the position vacated by the retiring Dan Tuohy, President of Tuohy Furniture.
The Board also unanimously re-elected Stan Askren, Chairman, President and CEO of HNI, to his second, one-year term as President and re-elected directors Hank Menke (OFS Brands), Lynn Utter (Knoll), Franco Bianchi (Haworth) and Joel Feldberg (The Global Group) to second terms as Directors.
The mission of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) International is to lead, advocate, inform and develop standards for the North American office and institutional furniture industry.
